Beanstalk Charities

Beanstalk announced the formation of the Beanstalk Charities Program in 2007. The Beanstalk Charities Committee selected New York Cares and Habitat for Humanity New York City, to which Beanstalk has made financial contributions.

New York Cares’ mission is to meet pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer services. The organization targets various areas of need, including education, homelessness, hunger, aging, and the environment, among others. New York Cares will organize several Beanstalk-focused volunteer events in 2008.

Habitat for Humanity New York City is currently leading a large-scale community building project in Brooklyn. Throughout the year, employees will be given various opportunities to provide hands-on assistance in the building of a community with families in need of simple, decent, and affordable housing.
