London, United Kingdom, March 28, 2017 — Chaucer Foods, a global leader and innovator in croutons and specialist bread products, is pleased to announce a partnership under license with the UK’s number one olive oil brand, Filippo Berio, to develop a range of baked snacks. The new product will complement Filippo Berio’s existing selection of high-quality olive oils, olives, vinegars and pesto.
The range is due to launch across the U.K. later this year and debuts with a line of Crostini, made with Filippo Berio extra virgin olive oil. The range will bring a delicious Mediterranean flavour to Chaucer Food’s portfolio of crunchy snacks. The initial product line will comprise of 5 SKUs that are baked not fried, with 30% less fat than fried crisps and are free from artificial additives. Flavours include Fennel & Garlic, Formaggio (cheese flavour), Lightly Sea Salted, Rosemary & Sea Salt, and Sundried Tomato, all inspired by Filippo Berio’s Italian roots.
