Over 25 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property and of carrying out royalty compliance audits across all categories of IP. Since 2012, has overseen Beanstalk’s Audit division, which currently undertakes over 80 audits worldwide annually.

  • Formed own company specialising in royalty audits and licensing consultancy services prior to joining Beanstalk

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the Licensing industry: not only by virtue of the years spent working in and with the industry but also the very wide range of clients, business sectors and types of IP globally.

  • Works mainly in the fields of copyright, trademarks and patents.

The Role

Support Public Relations/Marketing and Business Development efforts for growing client portfolio and agency exposure, team organisation efforts, and contribution to pitch and consulting projects.

PR & Marketing:

  • Makes recommendations on and implements a strategic PR plan for Beanstalk UK in close collaboration with the London management team as well as with the agency's U.S. office

  • Proactively develops and executes strategy for agency’s social accounts across LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram

  • Drafts press releases and news updates for the agency and its clients and pitches additional media opportunities

Job title: Royalty Auditor Assistant

Job description

The Beanstalk Group has a growing royalty compliance division and seeks a Royalty Audit Assistant with one to two years’ experience in an accounting role to support all aspects of royalty compliance. The position will be trained to become a royalty auditor; therefore, we are seeking someone with an interest in this role.  

Initially responsibilities will include but not limited to: work with the audit team to gather and process all necessary information to perform existing audit procedures, support auditing team in carrying out audit tests, and help prepare findings reports. [This will include:

  • Data entry from royalty reports as well as that collected during royalty audits

  • Analysis of accounting data received as part of an audit, including reconciliations, spread sheet work and creation of pivot and look up tables

  • Carry out Administrative duties to support the Audit Department

Once the basic audit skills are mastered the successful candidate will then take on greater responsibilities carrying out on-site audits at licensees premises.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Studies,

1-2 years of accounting experience required, exposure to royalty accounting a strong plus. (i.e. - Entertainment, Music, Sports, Publishing or Brand Licensing Organization) Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting practices required. Job requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with clients and business partners.  Advanced skills in Excel and Word required.
